No Surprises Act & Good Faith Estimate

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of your psychotherapy services.

If you are paying for therapy yourself (rather than using insurance), federal law requires health care providers to provide an estimate of anticipated charges for non-emergency services.

What You Can Expect

As a client of Eros & Psyche Counseling PLLC, you have the right to:

  • Receive a written Good Faith Estimate before services begin.

  • Request an estimate before scheduling services.

  • Receive your estimate at least one business day before your appointment when required by law.

  • Dispute a bill if it is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, subject to the dispute resolution process established by federal law.

How I Provide Your Estimate

Before beginning therapy, you will receive a personalized Good Faith Estimate based on the information available at that time.

Because therapy is a collaborative process, the number of sessions and overall cost may change as your needs, goals, and treatment plan evolve. If significant changes occur, I will provide an updated estimate and discuss those changes with you.

Questions?

If you have questions about your Good Faith Estimate or the expected cost of services, please feel free to ask at any time.
